Chest 1
The first chest is made of pine boards and the brackets for for the spliced rope beckets are mesquite. The exterior finish is milk paint.
Chest 2
The second chest is made of quartersawn white oak boards. The sides are made of two boards. the bottom board was stained blue before it was glued up, then the combined boards were engraved on the laser cutter. All the boat images are favorite designs of mine, the largest is a Scottish Zulu fishing boat.
